Barrister Gohar made a statement after the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, upheld the Election Commission of Pakistan's decision to declare the PTI's internal party polls as unconstitutional. This means the party members must now run as independent candidates with different symbols, and they lose the right to reserved seats for women and minorities.

Speaking outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar said the Supreme Court's decision harms the fundamental rights of the people of Pakistan, calling it a successful conspiracy against democracy. He expressed concern that this might lead to more corruption. Despite the finality of the court's decision, he pledged that the party would not boycott elections but would actively participate.

He also mentioned plans to file a review appeal, arguing that a five-member bench should have handled the case involving Article 17 of the Constitution, which guarantees the right to form associations or unions. Barrister Gohar shared that he spoke with PTI founder Imran Khan, who advised supporters not to worry and to stay peaceful. He urged them to protect their vote on February 8. Gohar mentioned that within three days, the PTI would publish a list of party-affiliated candidates and their symbols on social media. Regarding a recent raid on his residence, Barrister Gohar stated he was satisfied with the ongoing investigation and called for a focus on the upcoming elections.
