 On January 12, 2024, in Lahore, the stage is set for the commencement of HBL PSL 9 on February 17, 2024, at the PCB’s headquarters. The tournament opener will feature the two-time champions and defending titlists, Lahore Qalandars, facing off against the 2016 and 2018 winners, Islamabad United. This marquee cricketing event is spread across four cities – Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi – culminating in the final at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18.

Throughout the 34-match T20 tournament, Karachi is designated to host 11 matches, including the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the ultimate showdown. Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will each be the venue for nine matches. Meanwhile, Multan will witness five matches in total.

The eagerly awaited clash between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings is scheduled for February 24 and March 9. The Gaddafi Stadium will host the showdown on February 24, with the National Bank Stadium witnessing the fierce battle on March 9.

Teams like Kings, Qalandars, Sultans, and United will play five matches at their respective home grounds. Peshawar Zalmi is set to play four matches at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, while Quetta Gladiators will have three matches each in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, and one match in Multan against the home side Sultans on February 25.

Similar to the previous edition, the ninth edition of the HBL PSL will unfold in two legs. The Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 14 matches from February 17 to 27. Subsequently, cricketing action will shift to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be played from February 28 to March 12. The final stretch of the tournament will then take place entirely in Karachi for the playoffs.
