Chief Minister of
Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan while welcoming the arrival of His Highness
Prince Karim Aga Khan's daughter Princess Zahra Aga Khan to Gilgit on behalf of
the government and the people of Gilgit-Baltistan said that the health, education
and health of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan in Gilgit-Baltistan. Services
in terms of infrastructure, social development are commendable. It is our wish
that the health and education programs under the Aga Khan Development Network
should be extended to all the districts of the province, especially the
backward and remote areas of all districts.
All the districts have health infrastructure but the support of Aga Khan Development Network is required to overcome the shortage of doctors, specialists, paramedical staff and biomedical equipments. In the field of education, there is also a need for specialist teachers and teacher training. The Aga Khan Education Service has also provided special support in this area to improve the quality of education and make education accessible to all.
The Chief Minister of
Gilgit-Baltistan while talking to Princess Zahra Aga Khan conveyed a message of
good wishes to His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan and an invitation to visit
Gilgit-Baltistan. Princess Zahra Aga Khan while talking on the occasion said
that in Gilgit-Baltistan health and will review education plans. The government
will do more work in education and health sector with the cooperation of
Gilgit-Baltistan. Aga Khan will work for the training of nurses and improvement
of health facilities through the hospital. Steps will be taken to improve
health and education according to modern requirements. On this occasion, it was
reiterated to work together for the construction and development of
Gilgit-Baltistan with mutual cooperation. On this occasion, Chairman HBL and
Director Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development Sultan Ali Alana, Shafik
Sachedina, Provincial Ministers Ghulam Muhammad, Dilshad and other officers
were present.
