In response to the ongoing protest rally originating from Nagar against the reduction in wheat subsidies, a government delegation engaged in discussions with representatives from the Hussainia Supreme Council, as announced in a press release by the Deputy Commissioner of Nagar. The meeting, conducted under the guidance of the Chief Minister, included key figures such as Interior Minister Shams Lone, GBA Member Fateh Ullah Khan, and Sheikh Nasir Zamani. The delegation committed to providing an update on the fulfillment of the council's demands within 24 hours, as per the PR statement. Both parties also agreed to maintain open negotiations in order to seek a resolution to the issue. Noteworthy attendees at the occasion included Commissioner Gilgit Division Kamal Qamar, DIG Gilgit Region Raja Mirza Hasan, DC Nagar Waqas Johar, and SP Nagar Ziaullah. The Hussainia Supreme Council Nagar was represented by Dr. Mastan Ali, Muhammad Ayub Waziri, Haji Rizwan Ali, Sheikh Iqbal, Vice Chairman Supreme Council Abbas Ali, General Secretary Zakir Hussain Sheikh, General Secretary of Anjuman Hussainiya Haji Dawood, and Sajjad Sheraliat.
